| INTRODUCTION |

Playgrounds TERRA has been projected and designed by our own Technical Department, on the basis of analysis of the different tendencies and the application of the most favourable discernment for the physical and intellectual development of children, always fulfilling the Europeans norms of security , fomenting the collective game and trying to increase their imaginative and personal capacities. In order to guarantee the security of children, TECAM BCN strictly fulfils the standards of security and our own conclusions derived from the daily experience . In addition, TECAM BCN takes care of all the constructive details to guarantee the game, without shocks, adapting the degree of difficulty of the equipment, depending on the age of the user for whom has been created.
ELEMENTS AND MATERIALS
TERRA playground range is composed for several elements carefully combined depending the age of his users designed for. For this reason, TECAM BCN has studied all possible combinations, leaving out those that left the smaller possibility of risk. Therefore is not possible to buy any playground not according with the standards of UNE 1176.
THE WOOD
The main material used on TECAM BCN playground is laminated red pine wood. TECAM BCN only processes wood that comes from areas where forest management is aiming at sustainability. This wood provides a high dimensional stability and is classified with a resistance class C24 according to UNE EN335/1-2 and UNE EN 56-416-88. Our wood is preserved under high pressure process (Bethell system), according to present regulations. Impregnated wood gets a green colour and do not need to be painted. In the course of time, the wood can become grey, this does not affect the quality. All our post has 5 mm rounded edges .
SLIDERS
Brussels Sliders are made in polyester reinforced with fibre glass . This is a high quality element constructed from one single piece. The sliders are designed to be adapted perfectly to our playgrounds and practically have a null maintenance. As well, they are cleaned easily. The materials used on their construction, avoid to be warmed when they are exposed to the sun. We have a complete range of colours, like orange, yellow, red, green . We use two different slider’s size ; 90 or 150 cm towers always according to the UNE 1176. We are able to provide a stainless steel slider as well.
ROPES
The TERRA playgrounds have ropes elements, like the bridge, climbing nets or climbing ropes. All of them are made with Hercules rope with steel reinforcement, braided six times that make them even stronger. All of them are UV stabilised. The ending parts of bridges are supplied with stainless steel screw eyes
DECORATIVE PANELS
All decorative panels are made from TRESPA, material produced and patented by HOECHST, that consist of flat plates with heat set resins, reinforced with fibre of cellulose. We are able to guarantee the colour of this pieces for a period of 10 years in the worst conditions, because the colour is injected on the own material and it is not a surface painting. The vandalism acts like graffiti’s, are solved cleaning the material with organic dissolvent , without damaging for that reason the surface. It does not require any treatment and it has a high resistance to UV rays, fire or abrupt temperature changes.
ROOFS
The roofs are made in board plywood glued with phenol’s adhesive. The gluing fulfils the norms BS6566, DIN 6875, DIN BFU 100 and SFS 2415. The boards are had by both faces with a phenol film (120-220 gm2) using high temperature and pressure. The film supports most of the chemical agents
SCREWS AND METAL PIECES
All screws used on TERRA are stainless steel . Metal parts are done in iron protected with a zinc bath and painted in polyester painting in the furnace in red colour RAL3000.
MARKED
All playgrounds have her own mark that includes Name of playground, Name of Company , reference, year of production and normative according to.
FUNDATIONS
To obtain a correct foundation, the post are delivered enough long to be inserted in the ground. The post have a mark till where they have to be inserted. The minimum size is 40 cm.
All TERRA playgrounds are certified by organization TÜV Product Service according to the European norm UNE EN 1176
